About Me

    Artistic Philosophy

In my work, I attempt to create a parallel world to the one that we
acknowledge as reality. Through bold and graphic imagery, I produce
portraits of characters that can be seen as menacing, happy, tragic
and often prone to violence. However, in these portraits, as in real life,
there is often a blurred line between what is good and what is bad.
Menacing, evil creatures are portrayed in colorful, almost cheerful
acts of misbehavior and debauchery, yet often appear to the observer
as endearing and sympathetic antagonists. The garbled messages that
are projected from my work appeal to the complex psyche of each
viewer, whether they find themselves relating to the nastiness of the
aggressors, the helplessness of the victims or the apathetic viewpoint
    of the voyeur.
